Fleet & Operations

The problems I get brought in to solve.

National fleet strategy, total cost of ownership, procurement, electrification and 24/7 service-critical operations. Here is how I approach each one, and what it produced.

$13M→$9.7MRepair spend reduced
1,000+Vehicles in a national fleet
$40M+Fleet assets under management

Fleet Strategy

National fleet strategy, lifecycle planning, utilization and total cost of ownership.

  • 1,000+ vehicles in a national fleet program supporting 180 executives and 24/7 claims operations coast to coast.
  • $10M to $15M annual operating budget, and influence over $40M+ in asset and contract value.
  • Utilization analytics and lifecycle optimization on the Holman fleet management platform.
  • One provincial repair network built from nothing and a second turned around, together covering 12,000+ vehicles and 60+ locations.Enterprise Holdings, Quebec and Alberta

Cost Optimization

Where the money actually is: vendor consolidation, KPI-driven supplier performance and rate negotiation.

  • $13M to roughly $9.7M in annual network repair spend, a reduction of about 25%.Enterprise Holdings, Alberta network
  • National vendor agreement delivering $978K+ in recurring savings, with better service levels and turnaround times.Across all Canadian branches
  • Cost-to-serve improved 5 to 17% annually through lifecycle optimization, utilization analytics and strategic sourcing.Intact, national program

Procurement & Negotiation

OEMs, leasing partners, upfitters and national service providers, governed by measurement rather than promises.

  • Negotiated and stewarded national agreements with OEMs, leasing partners, upfitters and service providers.
  • Supplier performance managed through KPIs, business reviews and total cost of ownership analysis.
  • Held fleet availability through severe global OEM supply disruption via proactive procurement and multi-source vendor alignment.
  • National escalation point for complex service, cost and delivery issues.

EV Transition

An enterprise electrification strategy delivered ahead of schedule, three years running.

  • Co-developed the enterprise EV strategy targeting full electrification by 2030.
  • Deployment targets exceeded in 2023, 2024 and 2025, despite global shortages of hybrid and key EV models.
  • Aligned transportation strategy with corporate financial and ESG commitments, partnering with Finance and Sustainability.

Operations, Teams & Compliance

The teams, policies and governance that hold a national program together once the strategy is written.

  • Led and developed teams of managers, technicians and administrators in 24/7 service-critical environments.
  • Transportation regulatory compliance and company policy nationally: CVSE and PMVI requirements, annual fleet policy, taxable-benefit administration and driver onboarding standards.
  • Managed all 180 executive vehicle requirements in parallel with national fleet operations.
  • Cross-functional partnership with Finance, Legal, HR and Sustainability.
  • Three integrated technical teams led in a 24/7 road-safety environment serving Alberta Transportation, municipalities and emergency services.ATS Traffic, Western Canada
